Meet Our Team
The entire team at Acres Mill Veterinary Clinic is focused on providing the best possible care for your pets. Whether you bring your pets to our vet clinic for wellness care, surgical services, pet grooming or boarding, pet dental care or other pet services we provide professional and loving care.
Dr. Michael Good graduated from the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1978 and became a practice owner one year later. He continually educates himself on all vet services, with a particular interest in medicine and pet surgery. He has won numerous awards, including the prestigious HSMA Veterinarian of the Year, in his thirty-plus years of experience and is the founder of the Homeless Pets Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that assists animal shelters and pet owners in need. The Foundation provides medical care, foster care, and comfort to homeless animals. When not looking after the welfare of Canton's pets at our vet clinic or through the Foundation, Dr. Good enjoys playing basketball, spending time with his son, and walking his dogs.
Dr. Michele Stewart received her DVM from Ross University in 2002 and completed her clinical year at Oklahoma State University. She joined our animal hospital in 2005. Her interests in emergency vet services and preventative medicine, as well as orthopedic procedures, are a core component of the services our veterinary team provides. In addition to being a veterinarian, Dr. Stewart and her husband became the proud parents of a baby girl in July 2010.
Dr. Dwight Alleyne received his DVM from Cornell University in 2006 and joined our vet clinic in 2010. Specific pet services he provides for our pet patients include emergency medicine and orthopedic repairs. Specifically, Dr. Alleyne has a focus on bone plating. Dr. Alleyne and his wife have two children; the youngest, Tatiana, was born in April 2011. He is also a very active member of his church.
Our veterinarians are able to provide such a wide range of services with the help of a professional behind-the scenes office team that keeps our vet clinic running smoothly.
Leigh Ann Pierce, General Manager, has been in the veterinary field for over 25 years. She came to Acres Mill in 2002 after working with Dr. Good at his main practice in Marietta for many years. Away from the office, Leigh Ann is also a busy wife and mother of two active boys.
Bethany Weaver, Practice Manager, has been with Acres Mill for over a decade and knows what it takes to keep our animal hospital functioning and our pet owners happy. Bethany enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, and is an active member of Perimeter Church in Duluth. In this picture, Bethany is shown with her niece Gina.
All of the staff members at Acres Mill Veterinary Clinic work together to insure a high level of quality care for your pets. We work hard every day to help keep your pets at their healthy best because Acres Mill is "Where quality care and excellent customer service go paw in hand."
