View ArticleWelcome to Acres Mill Veterinary Clinic in Canton, Georgia. We offer full-service veterinary care, including wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, surgery and emergency care. Our Canton veterinary hospital is also home to state-of-the-art boarding and grooming facilities. Whether your pets are big or small, furry or fluffy, our compassionate and friendly veterinary team is committed to providing the best possible pet care. We know your pets are an important part of your family – and we treat them just like they were part of ours, too!
At our veterinary clinic, we believe that quality pet care starts with a compassionate and professional staff. Our veterinarians, Dr. Michele Stewart and Dr. Dwight Alleyne, stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary procedures and technology through continuing education and training. With over nine years of experience serving the Canton community, our entire vet care team is proud to provide superior care for your pets. From pet boarding facilities to our examination rooms, our animal hospital is committed to creating a professional and welcoming environment for pets and their owners.
As a pet owner, the best gift you can give your pet is the gift of good health. Preventive care and vaccinations are the safest, most effective way to keep your pet active and healthy for life. Our veterinarians recommend an annual wellness examination. During this exam, we will check your pet’s vital signs, perform a full physical and administer diagnostic tests for parasites and worms. We will also ensure that your pet is up to date on all vaccinations. Many vaccinations, such as rabies, require an annual booster.
Due to our in-house lab, advanced diagnostic procedures and state-of-the-art surgical suite, we are able to offer an elevated level of service to pets and their owners. Our veterinary clinic’s lab services include blood work and stool sample testing. Results from fecal testing can be ready immediately, allowing our veterinarians to make an informed diagnosis. We also have digital radiographs, echocardiograms and abdominal ultrasound to assist during surgery. Our veterinary clinic offers routine surgery, including spay and neuter operations, as well as advanced orthopedic surgery.
As pets age, they require additional preventive care to stay healthy and active. Our vet recommends semi-annual checkups for senior pets. The earlier we are able to diagnose a health condition, the more treatment options we have available. In many cases, such as the onset of arthritis, we are able to manage the condition through natural care without the need for surgery. We also offer holistic care services, including acupuncture, for enhanced pain management.
As part of our commitment to animal welfare, our veterinary hospital works closely with local rescue shelters to provide affordable and compassionate care for pets in need. In gratitude for the commitment that service members and first responders make to our nation, we are proud to offer a special military and first responder discount.
We look forward to welcoming you and your pets into our animal hospital family!
