Dr. Michele Stewart, DVM
Meet Dr. Michele Stewart, our dedicated Medical Director who has proudly served the Acres Mill community for nearly two decades. Her passion for animals first took shape at the University of Georgia, where she earned her degree in Animal Science—Go Dawgs! Soon after, her studies led her to the beautiful Caribbean shores of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
Over the past 19 years, Dr. Stewart has honed her expertise in small animal medicine, focusing on soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, ultrasounds, and preventive care. She also places a strong emphasis on dental health, believing that routine oral care is essential for every pet’s quality of life. Whether she’s counseling families on the importance of preventive medicine, performing surgical procedures, or championing better dental care, Dr. Stewart is driven by one goal: to help each patient enjoy a healthier, happier life.strongly emphasizes
Dr. Melissa Bostic, DVM
Born and raised in the heart of Georgia, Dr. Melissa Bostic has always had a soft spot for any creature that walks, trots, or gallops. She began her journey at Berry College in Mount Berry, GA, where her major in Animal Science and minors in Chemistry and Biology laid the foundation for her future career as a veterinarian. Her next stop was the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine—Go Dawgs!—where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and solidified her love for caring for all kinds of animals.
Today, Dr. Bostic thrives as a mixed animal practitioner, bringing her expertise and compassion to everything from playful puppies and curious kittens to herds of goats, horses, cows, and sheep. She’s especially passionate about veterinary reproduction, soft tissue surgery, and preventative medicine. Whether welcoming new four-legged family members into the world or performing intricate procedures, Dr. Bostic’s mission is always the same: to offer the best possible care with warmth, skill, and a genuine love for every animal she meets.
